    I am currently involved in a project with my local church called "The Launch Pad". It is an ideas generation/mentoring project to encourage members of the church to organise groups and events that will benefit the local community.

    I started the project after realising that many people had ideas for community based events and projects but had no idea how to go about starting them up. So far we have held an 'ideas night' which was essentially a blue sky session for getting all of our concepts on paper. Those who are serious about taking their ideas further have filled out a vision sheet and are currently being allocated mentors who will work with them to make their idea happen!

    I have always been an avid craft enthusiast and so decided to start my own card making and crafts blog. I soon started to attend local craft fairs to showcase and sell my cards and crafts. During Christmas 2010 I organised a craft fair of my own and managed to attract 13 other stall holders to sell their products too. This is a hobby I am extremely passionate about!
