Role Description: Defect Coordinator for system and UAT testing of the Home New Business and Motor Renewals, providing metrics for daily defect meetings (phone conference) with UAT testing leads, development team leaders to discuss status/impact of open defects. Administer defects using Bugzilla, determining relevant development team for assignment, and monitoring target response times and correct classification.
Analyse Functional Specifications to produce UAT test scenarios/matrices for the Motor Renewal product, ensuring full coverage of acceptance criteria, and generating test scripts, collating data to produce an overall dashboard of the testing progress and the associated cycles.

Role Description: System testing, end-to-end, regression testing of the Target Harlosh InsuranceFaces software, which is replacing all their General Insurance systems. Testing included all aspects of General Insurance, Commercial, Liability, Travel, Vehicle, Farming, Retail, Estate, Tractor..etc. Test scripts were executed and recorded using Mercury TestDirector. In addition to test execution I was also required to generate test scripts for new insurance documentation from functional specifications.

Role Description: Systems integration and end-to-end testing of Motor Insurance quote and purchasing applications. Testing of application capture, decision and account management software using a number of linked systems including web-based front ends, and a COBOL/Cogen mainframe system. Tools used include Mercury Test Director and Quality Center for test planning, execution and defect management; Rational RequisitePro for requirements mapping.
Projects to date include working alongside the Test Manager on the General Insurance Channel Specific Products phases 1 and 2, introduction of Broker Panel of Motor Insurers for AA, BDML, Hastings, Kwik Fit, and Aggregator.

Produce detailed development strategy, functional and programme specifications, and testing strategy for all environments including customer acceptance testing. Develop batch (ICL & DB2) and online (CICS) applications using Websphere Vagen. Write SQL queries to interrogate, extract, delete data, and to upload rate changes to production DB2 tables.

July 1996 – September 2001 (5 years 3 months)

Role Description: Designing medium complexity processes based on Functional Design documentation, ensuring the Technical Design package adheres to procedures. Support and problem solve for teams of System Testers whilst they execute Full Business Testing on all new and amended functionality.
Develop program code from Functional and Technical design documentation, liasing closely with designers to ensure code produced fully conforms to the business requirements. Produce Unit and Link test plans and accurately perform Early Business Testing on complex products.

December 1991 – June 1996 (4 years 7 months)

Role Description: Liaison with Company Directors and Managers to develop new operating systems using DataEase. The co-ordination of 10 outdoor factories, ordering and issuing of raw stock, production planning, determining the capabilities of each factory, and organising the pick-up and delivery of stock.
