Control System Design input to machine design team. Process and machine requirements analysis to support electrical design and define design detail. Definition of control system equipment specification. Input to equipment sourcing and procurement processes.
Design of complete machine control system integrated to mechanical design and process requirements from scratch. Design for system integration of multiple control system elements, often from different Industrial Automation companies.
Configuration, system integration and application programme development of all Control System elements, including: PLC, HMI, Servo Drives and Drive Controllers, Remote (Fieldbus) IO, Robots, Integrated Vision Systems.
Design and implementation of complex process sequence control, involving both multiple parallel and sequential processes on different process parts. Planning and implementing control strategies for managing the control, interaction and merging of multiple parallel sequences.
Specific experience with implementation of fully integrated robot and vision project. Using Adept robots with Adept integrated vision. Multiple robots, (7), Scara and 6 Axis, all with random part feeders using integrated vision system for part position and orientation detection for pick operation - and place operation into multiple station sequential process assembly machine. Responsible for all control system elements on machinery, including vision development and programming.
Responsibility from design phase through application development, implementation on machines, in house commissioning, and on-site commissioning and onto customer acceptance.
Control System design, development, implementation and delivery on special purpose Robotic Cell machinery. Mainly for robotic welding applications.
Design and development of control system application software. Automation components configuration, programming and integration into Robotic automation cells. Robot programming and robot integration into machine cell.
Partial responsibility for design of the cell control system and machine safety systems.
Control System component specification, sourcing and costing for custom projects.
Experience with Fanuc, Panasonic and ABB robots.
Responsibility, for on-site commissioning, customer acceptance and final delivery on-site.
