Gavin Dobson
– Present
Gavin Dobson is a London based Illustrator graduating in 2000 with a Fine Art degree.
‘Having a passion for graphic novels led me to take my artwork more and more towards Illustration since graduating.’
‘I have a very strong Fine Art back ground which has enabled me to keep my love of traditional skills such as painting and drawing and combining this with newer mediums such as Photoshop to create eye-catching and lively artwork’.
Artists whom inspire me include Jenny Saville, Lautrec, Manet, Frank Miller, George Perez, Olivier Copiel….the list goes on and on. Music, clothing, sculpture, theatre, film and people watching are also imperative to my influences!
Gavin is currently working on a Graphic Novel in his spare time as a huge labour of love!…….and it ‘s looking great!
Alongside my artwork I have been involved in some fantastic theatre projects.
