I am a succesful, hardworking hands-on director who leads from the front and has a passion for developing and driving highly succesful motivated teams in both large blue chip and smaller AIM vehicles, predominantly in the Finance, IT and Internet spaces in customer sales, product and operations roles, where delivering customer satisfaction is key.
Much of this has been in companies that are either entering new fast paced markets or where consolidation is forcing creative and often radical change to reduce costs and improve the customer experience. This involves working within or driving matrixed teams who often have competing goals and where tight financial management or rationalisation is key. Most recently, delivering QOS based broadband applications has been a fantastic learning experience, now working through MPF and Ethernet reseller services is an even bigger challenge due to the complexities of the supply chain/systems and making it work for the customer and reseller is key to drive sales

Management of 200k direct and 200k indirect and sme/wholesale customers for broadband, telephony and network centric IT services - delivering exciting new high margin services like Annex M, ADSL 2+ and Ethernet delivered from the new Stoke Mandeville B2B centre of excellence and back office off-shore teams. Responsible for efficiently delivering reseller management, provisioning, technical support, care and compliance. During this period we won 2 network quality awards for Pipex while saving over £2m in network costs through acceptable traffic management and reduced the product launch process from 6 to 3 months delivering 5 broadband and voice refreshes in the period (improving margins by 15%) across 3 complex IT systems

The business developed strong network engineering skills and was a recognised leader in network management/Transparent traffic shaping and world class software development, delivering "customer centric" portal based automation which made the operation very efficient which delivered "above average" margin sales for the shareholders. Also delivered and managed the hosted Corporate Teleworker solution for BT Global services with over 30k corporate teleworker customers

Additionally, worked closely with Microsoft, Oracle, Sun etc. developing solutions in the Utilities and Manufacturing Sectors with a business unit (£33m) of 35 sales, marketing/business consultants and programme delivery specialists - applications services included RFID, Asset Management, Hosted Mail & Unified Communications, ePrescription, WEEE and infrastructure hosting services
