I am a competent, self-motivated and reliable individual who has worked in an office environment my entire working career. I am confident with the majority of tasks in a professional office environment and I possess excellent communication skills. I am happy to work on my own initiative and react well to the pressures imposed by deadlines. I am able to adapt easily and can establish good working relationships with colleagues and clients.

Temporary Contract – 4 Weeks - (extended)
To assist the Document Control Manager processing and expediting a backlog of information to enable the production/creation of End User Manuals (EUM), Installation, Operation & Maintenance Manuals (IOM’s) Certification Packs etc also:
• To assist in the development & maintenance a comprehensive ‘Document Control System’ that effectively supports the Project Manager.
• To work closely with the Project Managers in the development of the processes & systems to ensure compliance with client specifications.
• To review workloads & resource issues relating to Document Control to highlight any major risks accordingly.
• To enter & maintain document registers for all activities in progress and expedite internally & externally as required.
• To support the Project Manager by maintaining contract files as required.
• To assist the Project Manager to respond to Client correspondence as required.
• To act as the document co-ordinator / expeditor between Sales, Projects, Engineering (UK & Globally), QA (UK & Globally), Supply Chain (UK & Globally) and client with respect to all key documents & milestones.
• To create & maintain, custom and standard IOM’s as required.
• To create and maintain, custom End of Manufacturing documentation dossiers to specific client requirements and ensure their on-time delivery and approval to assist with the timely collection of stage payments and avoidance of liquidated damages.
• To act as first point of contact to Clients for all contractual documentation communications (e.g. DTS, IED, E-Mails, Transmittals).
• To monitor, report and expedite contractual documentation deliverables and prepare their timely and accurate transmittal to the Client.
• To assist wherever possible with other tasks to support the successful running of the Project Management Dept.

The organisation of files and arranging secure storage/retrieval of original documents:- Title Deeds/Lease details, Will requirements, EPA/LPA details etc. and disposal of confidential documents in line with the firm’s protocols.Also to ensure that all documents were logged diligently on to the firm’s database and amending/updating this information as and when required. Once the details had been logged onto the database the documentation was labelled and filed in the archives enabling swift and easy recovery. The role also involved liaising and organising the digital storage of correspondence/case files with outside providers and ensuring that the firm’s data base was kept fully up to date and that scanned files were returned to the firm in working order.
It also involved liaising with clients of the company to provide the high quality of service the company expected when clients requested information in an efficient and effective manner.
Temporary Contract – (2 Weeks) - Re-organise and collate part of the existing archive to reduce duplication of obsolete legacy information in preparation for a company re-location.

Duties set out as below but with the added responsibility of Security Controller on behalf of the UK MoD. This involved arranging security clearance for employees who required access to Protectively Marked Information (PMI) or access to other UK MoD sites that required clearance. Control of all PMI documents held within the company, transferring data between other UK MoD sites and advising on security related matters within the company.
Other responsibilities at this time involved the relocation and collating of all archive drawings, sales orders and BoM’s and keeping this information in an orderly manner for easy access, arranging scanning of documents and drawings and the transfer of data as and when required between the worldwide company organisations to assist in the manufacturing processes.
Standards Management for David Brown Gear Systems UK and its subsiduaries.
During a company re-organisation the position of Document Administrator was changed and re advertised as Standards and Configuration Management Engineer which I had to apply for.
As below progressing design improvements to the TDP, also configuration control responsibilities for other projects relating to the defence sector of the company.
During this time due to my in depth involvement with the control of international standards relating to this project I also became responsible for the control of all national and international standards used throughout the whole of the company, liaising with various outside agencies (BSI, SAI Global, AGMA and others) to obtain new and updated standards cost effectively and to keep a record of all standards held by the company either current, obsolete or superseded and to ensure that registration/subscription to various organisations and the upkeep of copyright licensing certification was up to date.
As below with the added responsibilities of overseeing major design changes, modifications and improvements and overseeing the change from a production contract with the customer to a mintenance contract with NAMSA (NATO Maintenance and Supply Agency)

During this period of time I became heavily involved with the Technical Data Package (TDP) for a specific product checking that drawings were in line with the company procedures and that materials and processes quoted on the drawings were available in the UK etc. If this was not the case then to raise requests for changes to drawings to enable production in the UK which had to be approved by the customer also to ensure that all changes to the TDP were managed in accordance with the in-house change control procedures which had to be re-written taking note of the requirements set out in ISO 9001. The production of information to be transmitted to the various engineering functions within the company. Collecting, collating and submitting the resulting costs to the customer for approval prior to implementation of the changes.
It was also my responsibility to monitor all the national and international standards relating to this project.

Enhancing the training based in the 1st year with 3 month training in specific areas on the Shop Floor followed by 3 month in an office environment. This format of training continued until the end of my apprenticeship.
Learning the basic skill sets involved in engineering – turning, drilling, milling, electrical engineering etc. Whilst at Technical College I was identified as a future employee who would progress well into the office environment.
