I am author an co-authored around 20 books and many more papers and articles, all starting with 15seconds.com way back in 1998 or so. Notably, I am author of “Beginning C# XML”, “Beginning VB.Net Xml”, “Application Development with MSXML 4.0”, “Professional Xml” and “Professional Xml 2nd Edition” which have sold over 100,000 copies in several languages.

Technical
=========
I am also a technical architect mainly with Microsoft technologies and I heavily in Xml and the ideas behind open platforms & API's (although not necessarily open source!). I was on Microsoft's .Net Advisory Council and a member of XmlInsiders, a group of industry experts invited and sponsored by the Microsoft Xml Team.

I have worked for IBM Global Services in Canada, Scottish Enterprise, NHS, Royal Bank of Scotland and NatWest, as well as a number of smaller businesses in consultancy positions.
