Tim Handcock's Summary
I have thirty years of experience working in the social housing and heritage sectors with housing associations, museums and local authorities in consultancy and interim management roles. Excellent communication and people skills and a successful track record of delivering outcomes underpin my commitment to the continuous improvement of services. Most recently I have worked with Conwy and Denbighshire county councils heritage services and also QK Associates and Sure Resources Ltd that provide interim and consultancy solutions within the RSL sector. I also spend time in north-east Brazil where I have experience of historical research, property management and the conveyancing process.
In addition I also have experience of working as a consultant on heritage projects and my clients include CyMAL, the Museum of London, the Grosvenor Museum in Chester, Denbighshire heritage service and Conwy heritage department. I have an honours degree in Archaeology from Nottingham University (2.1) as well as A levels in ancient history, modern history and politics. I have also undertaken a number of archaeological field excavations including Caerwent, Wroxeter and Hen Domen castle.
Specialties
Heritage projects, physical and intellectual access audits. Work in leasehold, sheltered, supported and key-worker housing. Assignments have included preparation for Audit Commission inspections, Supporting People service reviews and validation visits, strategic development, policy review, performance management and the review and restructuring of services. KLOE and QAF gap analysis, resident empowerment, review of floating support services, managing organisational change and risk mapping.
