[temporary text - to be updated]
Communications professional and technology evangelist. I hold a postgraduate diploma in marketing and have significant experience of marketing strategy and communications, change management, and the business leverage of technology - both internationally and in the UK.
My work has led to significant changes in communications, innovation and technology approach at Christian Aid. Prior to this I worked for a NASDAQ-listed US enterprise software firm where I was in charge of International Marketing. While there, I instigated significant upturns in media coverage, and analyst relations, as well as delivering a significant rebrand and marketing communications programme.
Colleagues describe me as infectiously enthusiastic and hard working. I am known for being able to persuasively articulate the business benefits of new and innovative approaches, and ensuring those benefits are delivered.

October 2002 — March 2006 (3 years 6 months)
My work led to significant changes in communication, organisational culture, and ways of working at Christian Aid during this period. Alongside this, I also provided consultancy services to other organisations, including Overseas Development Institute.
In this role I was responsible for a technology-led change management and communication programme, and also led the organisation in a number of communications and change management initiatives. Work included;
Full responsibility for business case analysis, procurement and implementation of enterprise technologies in a PRINCE2 environment.
Leadership of new communications channels including the delivery of several web2.0 / social media projects, and the introduction of the Tridion content management system to manage a number of web sites.
Transformation of the information resource services function and the development of a knowledge management approach - including a staff change management initiative called Corporate Revolutionaries.
These projects have achieved a dramatic and lasting change in many areas of Christian Aid's work ranging from digital communications, to our communications approach, and the business leverage of technology (you can read my personal account of the project here in Enterprise Information magazine - http://bit.ly/caidsps).
One particular success was with our use of Microsoft SharePoint. A post implementation audit of our deployment of SharePoint at Christian Aid indicated the project was one of the fastest, and most successful, undertaken by the organisation. Microsoft used the project as a ‘People Ready’ case study, and a number of other NGOs subsequently copied our approach. We are still called on to provide help for other organisations seeking to follow our approach and the project was featured on the BBC World Service programme 'Digital Planet'.
