Spencer founded Bluhalo a digital marketing agency in 1999. Bluhalo's growth journey over the following years was purely organic, growing a staggering 1100 percent between 2002 and 2007, appearing almost annually during that period in the Deloitte Tech Fast 50 and EMEA fast 500 amongst many other league tables.
9 years after he founded the business he successfully sold Bluhalo to Gyro International in April 2008, the worlds largest independent b2b marketing agency.
The acquisition helped Bluhalo access its parent company's offices globally enabling Bluhalo to design, build and marketing some of the world's largest websites. & the new digital merged entity trading as Bluhalo/GyroHSR became a top 10 UK digital marketing agency (NMA in 2009 and 2010)
Spencer has worked on over 3,000 digital projects over the 11 years has worked with diverse clients from the larger brands such as Sony, Technicolor, BlackBerry, UPS, Nokia Siemens Network, ITV and Sky through to major sporting organisations such as The NFL, The Premier League, Spurs and Liverpool F.C & The Subaru World Rally Team.
Recently Spencer co-founded Cact.us which uses it's combined unique skill-sets and experience in the digital space to help "fast growth & ambitious" digital agencies successfully accelerate their business goals and objectives by providing expert commercial development support combined with operational & expert financial guidance.
Spencer also sits on the board of the Marketing Agencies Association (MAA)
Spencer is also seeking to start code camps in partnerships with Digital Agencies to help young people & the unemployed youth learn to retrain as software engineers and to support British Talent.
Spencer also delivers motivation talks through the brand "The Unlucky Millionaire"
Spencer provides free new business mentoring support through the Supper Club for Start-up Britain.
He also co-organises The Entrepreneurs Club London, a free networking event for over 200 entrepreneurs.
