Migration of 15 year old Telecom legacy billing/discounting system via human readable meta-data extracts. Documented the legacy system technical low-level functionality from the end user documentation, user workshops and inspection of the original C application coding. The resultant documentation pack is now given to new IT&N staff. Used rapid application design (RAD) Modelling to indentify data trends, confirm data assumptions. Rationalised existing data whilst removing redundant data. Retaining but captured any data inconsistencies to ensure an unchanged customer experience. Produced domain reports to provide high level views to the Teleco's own data previously hidden in the details. A new role is to be created in Orange to provide this service on an on-going basis. Verification of the 3rd party off shore design for the “business as usual” processes during operation of the two billing systems

I worked very closely with NHS administration, doctors and nursing staff at a NHS Hospital on a very limited time scale project to a definite deadline. I produced and supported (both on and off site) a year 2000 contingency application, required to replace an existing system (Di-Proton). I developed an MS Access 2000/XP client-server database that manages and monitors the day-to-day administration of kidney dialysis patients. Existing patient data held in the old application was converted into the new MS SQL Sever 2000 back end database. The application has since been expanded and extra functionality developed. Managed at Indian outsource team to re-write the application into .NET. It is now used as their permanent live system and has also been taken on by other NHS Trusts to manage their Renal patients.
