Led a team of 22 professional Project Managers and five Quality Engineers, reporting into the Executive Board, responsible for Roke’s £79m project portfolio and defined the engineering processes and tools.

• Senior Manager in this world renowned contract R&D establishment that undertakes contracts for complex, high technical risk product developments as well as developing products in house
• Created the 'Roke Engineering Process' (REP), through which best practice using the CMMI framework was implemented and championed
• Developed a project management competency framework and coached team of Project Managers, six achieving APM RPP
• Chaired a quarterly project management forum which shared best practice and built a supportive community
• Introduced 'project categorisation' to match project value, risk and complexity to project manager competence and experience
• Created initiatives that led to a turn-around and annual improvement in project results across typically 400 projects a year
• Developed 'Project Management Excellence Programme', which achieved APM corporate accreditation
