I am currently a freelance designer specialising in Web/Graphic design. My work consists of designing, building and maintaining websites for companies that are looking for a fresh and dynamic site. I have also worked on a lot of design for print such as promotional leaflets, flyers, business cards and providing logo designs for new and existing companies. My freelance role has allowed me to significantly increase my skills in Web and Graphic Design. It has also given me a great deal of experience in dealing with clients and understanding their needs on a professional level.

September 2007 — April 2008 (8 months)
My job as an online designer mainly included designing and building email campaigns. Unlike before, the design and build process was done on a lot faster turnaround basis. I also had the opportunity to design and build the front end of new websites for start up businesses within the company. Working alongside a graphic designer I was able to work on some print work such as flyers and brochures.

January 2007 — September 2007 (9 months)
My role included designing pixel perfect page layouts in Photoshop and once signed off this was constructed by the developers. I was later given the opportunity to build the CSS/XHTML templates of the sites while a Coldfusion developer did the back-end work. Email campaigns were also designed by myself and built using tables and inline styling. I also had to build Flash banners and Gif alternatives, with the challenge of meeting the different file size requirements of the external companies that were used. I had the opportunity to use and learn the CMS (Goss iCM) and then trained marketing managers in how to use this.
