Richard Hyndman is CTO and a founding employee of Refresh Mobile, a Mobile Tech company started in 2005. Previously, Richard was a Senior Prototype Designer at T-Mobile International. His team was developing a mobile magazines concept, which when support within T-Mobile dried up they negotiated a purchase of the IP off of T-Mobile and setup Refresh Mobile to progress the idea into a commercial product. That concept has now evolved into Mippin, a social mobile content service.

Richard is also a strong believer in and advocate of Google's Android mobile phone operating system and a contributor to the Open Source community behind it.

Before Mippin, Richard specialised in mobile Java, keeping abreast of all the JSRs and getting a good deal of practical experience writing fast, scalable UI graphical apps - including Mobizines and Eyemags. Richard also has several years J2EE experience working with Apache, Tomcat, Weblogic and webservices and some Symbian C++ experience although that was prior to the switch to Edition 3.
