Creative Thing is a marketing, design and increasingly a social media consultancy. We are very much involved in the area of digital marketing and harnessing the potency of social media channels for business use. We are experts in WordPress development, being one of less than ten UK WordPress consultants listed on Automattic's website.
Creative Thing started life as a creative marketing design company operating across print and the web. Creative Thing services a range of SME clients and specialist projects for organisations such as the MOD and Tourism Tasmania.
Startershop Ltd is a fully functioning eCommerce tool for £199. It was co developed and is run with Simon Wheatley.
In general: David Yates is a designer who has applied the principles of design across a range of products, services and industries.
History: David Yates started his career designing and marketing mountaineering gear for companies such as Rohan, Karrimor, Regatta and Craghoppers. Moving into design, David has won awards for marketing design with Daewoo and Ricoh.
Following postgraduate studies in multimedia Design, David joined BP as Global Intranet Project Manager and later Marlborough Stirling plc as Head of Design.
Since 2003, David Yates has developed marketing strategies and campaigns for a range of organisations from Pfizer and the MOD to small specilist organisations. David co-developed the innovative Startershop e-commerce tool for £199 for small businesses and more recently has worked as a dedicated social media and WordPress consultant.
