Taking over projects as a freelancer at www.vworker.com gave me a challenging opportunity to liaise with customers to identify their requirements, working with deadlines and provide means as they require. Also RAC (RentACoder/vWorker) gave the exposure to be updated with the current industry status of web technologies (PHP, MySQL, Photoshop, Dreamviewer, C#, ASP.NET, .NET... etc), desktop utilities as the customers are from various environments.
Due to my hard work i also got a rank of Top Worker in vWorker for my name. I enjoy working with clients & deadlines.

Molson Group website
- April 2011 to June 2011
Team Members: Praneeth HettiarachchiThis web project is dear to our heart as it involved the re-design of the first ever website launched by Miura all those years ago. The client, Molson Group, is the UK's largest independent dealer in construction equipment.
Initially the used machines section posed some design challenges because visually, the Mascus fed content did not fit with the whole aesthetic of the site. To overcome this, our development team worked through the XML feed from Mascus and organised the data so it could plug into the front end without compromising the design. The result is light, bright and sharp images, distinct from all the competition.
With over 200 new machines in stock and on average 600 used machines sold every year, the website is highly content rich - therefore a good CMS was crucial. On the previous Molson site, machines were uploaded to the site via the independent nationwide online marketplace for heavy machinery - Mascus. This was a system the client was comfortable with using and was reluctant to leave behind. So we customised the front end of Mascus so that the client had a system that they were comfortable with but that had been updated to reflect the new brand.
The site launched on June 6th and works across all web and mobile browsers and avoids using Flash in favour of javascript solutions. This site has the most comprehensive list of equipment and it is completely content managed so the client has full control over updates and can easily make changes to imagery and copy.
The site is the first of it's kind within the heavy machines market and the client is delighted with the result.
Technical:
Drupal CMS with fully administrator control, using Mascus (mascus.co.uk) feed to generate used machines section and fully JQuery driven image slide-shows when viewing machine images. -
Jenson8 Website
- August 2011 to September 2011
Team Members: Praneeth HettiarachchiOur team brief was to redesign the Jenson8 website. As a business transformation and strategic networking company who believes in living their promise to ask the difficult questions in order to provide extraordinary solutions, the website needed to reflect their promise and go beyond the usual expected design route. We created the entire site on one giant canvas where you glide from area to area seamlessly.
For the development of this project we created several unique tailor-made features. Visually,
the one page website was designed on a grid format with five layers to the site; 4 layers of stars to create a beautiful 3D effect and one layer for text.
From a technical angle, we have created a very fast and efficient site by using css sprite which allowed us to style the site using smaller sized files, resulting in faster uploading speeds. A one-page site is a faster site and more efficient site as once the site is opened all the content is fully loaded in one go.
Technical :
Jenson8 is PHP based website, which heavily depends JQuery queries. use of CSS sprites give most faster loading website.
