Throughout my career I have been responsible for setting up marketing functions within businesses and then devising and implementing clear marketing strategies and managing the marketing team. I started in 1996 with the Adare Printing Group where I completely rebranded its flagship company (WBF to Halcyon) in line with the company’s marketing strategy moving forward.
In 2001 I moved on to Watt Gilchrist, a Canadian owned artwork, reprographics and design company, specialising in retail packaging and high volume catalogue pages. Again a rebranding programme was undertaken to communicate succinctly the variety of services on offer, including a bespoke brand management software system.
In 2006 I became marketing manager for a group of companies based in Leeds which comprised of a promotional merchandise and clothing company, a retail based print and design shop, an online photo canvas printing operation and a chain of sushi restaurants.
In 2008 I set up as an independent marketing and creative consultancy branded as ‘Opportunity Marketing’ (www.opportunitymarketing.co.uk).

Opportunity Marketing is a marketing and creative consultancy that offers marketing strategy, market research, branding,design, marketing communications, marketing campaigns, event management and online marketing. Opportunity Marketing helps businesses to clearly define their offering, their target market and the key purchasing drivers for their products or services. From this a marketing strategy can be developed and implemented that communicates the right message to the right audience and generates a high return on investment.

I established the marketing department, developed a clear marketing strategy for each of the businesses and implemented this strategy.
