This is a large-scale project of the Southern African Power Pool (SAPP) funded & sponsored by the World Bank to undertake a commercial and operational performance assessment and benchmarking exercise of government-owned entities in Botswana, Lesotho, Mozambique and Zambia.
The ultimate objective is for these entities to gain a credit rating and achieve cheaper funding via access to the capital markets and a larger investor base.
