Having now worked in Sales roles for the past 5 years, I am currently an Account Manager at the leading IT provider in Europe. I began my career in recruitment before moving into product and solutions-based sales and I have worked my way up the sales chain to my current position.

In my roles I have developed a passion for customer services led account management; focused on providing the best service for my customers first - knowing it will lead to a positive, trustworthy and ultimately profitable relationship.

Ideally, I would like to move towards technology/product-specific sales or vendor alliances/partner management. I am also open to positions that are not necessarily sales in nature depending on their focus and industry.

If you think a role might suit my background, please feel free to contact me on Linkedin.

Business Development Manager

Bright Technology
(7 months)Curtain Place, Curtain Road, London, EC2A 3AN

When the position became available, I jumped at the chance to take on a full-time Sales role. I have whole-heartedly embraced the position and look forward to client-facing meetings to discuss their requirements and the options available.

I pride myself on clarity and transparency in my Sales approach, as well as an ability to talk to clients on a variety of technical levels. I am able to develop rapport quickly and have a keen passion for, as well as knowledge of, the products and services I sell.

I work closely with the Projects, Marketing and Support departments to ensure proposals are delivered on time, so I am no stranger to successfully working within a team.

Finally, as a rule of thumb, I do not believe in doing anything unless I can do it to the best of my abilities. I approach all work with due diligence and do not feel content with leaving work without completing my tasks. Hence, it is rare that you will see me heading home on time.

Key Achievements
* Significant contribution to 33% improvement in Bright’s Sales performance in Q4 2011.

Frontline Technology Specialist

Bright Technology
(3 months)271 Regent Street, London, W1B 2ES

My original role at Bright began with supporting the Sales team by managing the Sales process. Specifically this meant:
- fielding the incoming Sales calls;
- consequently organising meetings for the Sales team;
- drafting proposals as well as liaising with the prospective
client to close the deal;
- and account management to ensure a positive working
relationship and continued opportunities for Sales.

After approximately 4 weeks in the role, I was asked to take on the procurement responsibilities while continuing to support the Sales team. The additional responsibilities included:
- liaising and negotiating with the company's suppliers for the
best prices;
- developing and pricing the specification for new Server and
Hardware builds;
- due diligence to ensure profit margins are maintained;
- and general internal and external purchasing.

I continued to learn and develop my Sales abilities in due course over the next few weeks as I began to join the Sales team at client meetings. I was very keen to make the step up and was fortunate to be given the chance when the then Sales Manager left the company.
