As the founder of Oxford Pharmaceutical Sciences in 1996, James is a leader and key player in the Pharmaceutical and Biotechnology outsourcing arena with a rare blend of entrepreneurial drive and strategic business administration.

From the foundations of his statistical consultancy business, he built an emerging contract research organisation with an enviable history of solid and profitable growth. Following investment in 2002 James continued to lead the growth of the organisation until the merger with Statwood in late 2007. As Managing Director James initiated a programme of strengthening the board and developing a strategy for growth. Overseeing the expansion into additional geographic regions including facilities in Poland, South Africa and the East Coast US, James was actively involved in ensuring cultural and operational integration was achieved and was achieved efficiently.

Following a successful launch of the new brand and a restructuring exercise that makes Quanticate fit and ready to achieve the board’s objectives in the future, James left his executive role in August 2009. James continues to be director and shareholder, contributing with the rest of the Board to the strategic development of the company at board level.
