I'm a community manager, web editor, writer and events producer with extensive experience in content management, strategy, journalism, production, R&D, and events development across new media, print and TV enterprises.

Managing the project, I am collaborating with CIMA staff, suppliers, members, students and the wider web to develop, launch and run CIMAsphere, the global online community platform for management accounting, finance and business. Launched in closed beta April 2009, it publicly launched on 13th July 2009.
Comprised of blogs, forums, groups, community answers, live events and social networking elements, the site achieved 10,000 registered community members within 6 months of launch.
My role encompasses:
* development of community and social media guidelines and policies
* recruitment and management of a range of expert and student bloggers
* training and workflow management of 20 in-house moderators drawn from across the businesses
* manage continual site improvement, SEO enhancements and CRM integration updates
* progress web design, usability, information architecture and functionality, liaising with our technology platform supplier
* extending and connecting the brand to other communities and networks (Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, AccountingWeb, etc)
* monitor analytics and metrics, developing specific community metrics for the business
* online content and event planning in liaison with communications, marketing, education and professional standards teams
* introducing online reputation monitoring tools and expertise to the comms team
* provide community-focused editorial for email newsletters and monthly member's magazine

Strategic planning and content, web design, community management and email marketing for re-launch and ongoing beta development of the main Chinwag site (http://www.chinwag.com).
Chinwag is an online community, content and services aggregator featuring blogs, aggegrated blogs, events, training and business networking for the digital media industry in the UK and beyond.
Whilst at Chinwag I also:
• Developed, programmed and managed the popular Chinwag Live events series (http://live.chinwag.com) begun in February 2007, totalling 23 events until December 2008 with speakers fom brands such as Yahoo, Microsoft, Vodafone, BT, eBay, MySpace, BBC, Channel 4, The Guardian, Nokia, Nielsen Online, CNET and Last.fm.
• Maintained an overview of industry trends, talent and innovation, foregrounding them in events and web content.
• Moderated its suite of email discussion lists for digital marketing, web design, usability, and mobile media.
• Used social media and collaborative tools (Facebook, Twitter, wikis, Upcoming, LinkedIn) to engage with, grow and support a broad community of digital media professionals.
