Daniel Rivers's Summary
From the moment I entered the world of software and web development I have always looked at all areas of the products I have worked on and asked 'Could it be done better?'. This has often lead to me driving innovative development on the projects I have been involved with. One challenge with this is explaining how this 'better' way really is better.
As with any creative developer my goal is to facilitate in the development of reliable, intuitive and effective applications. In the last 3 years with developments in the browser and HTML world I have been able to fully utilise the wealth of HTML5 and the power of jQuery framework to create clean and responsive browser based solutions.
I strive to learn new methods and how the latest technologies can be effectively used. It is not uncommon for me to be sitting in the corner of a room in my house with the glow of my screen on my face getting carried away with something new.

My role within the Bury Fringe festival is largely around website development and pursuing new ways for the festival to interact with its target audience.
I am in charge of developing and maintaining the website taking the information from the main organisers and promoters and transforming it into a simple, easy to navigate informative website.
Because the Bury Fringe team is a relatively small team I also help directly at the events, from selling last remaining tickets, being on door, setting up and packing away for the sound and lighting equipment.
