Benjamin Dyer's Summary
At heart I'm a product and solutions guy, obsessive about innovation and technology.
I'm the co-founder of a start up called Powered Now, our solution is aimed at solving the difficult task of business administration for field based companies. We launched our product in April 2013 at The Next Web conference and won best mobile app, you can watch my pitch below.
During my career I've run both large and small companies, focusing on both product development and commercial operations. I'm a big believer in the power of the team, I love bringing people together to achieve great things, especially within B2B environments.
Some of the highlights include the Xyratex IPO listing on the NASDAQ, the rebranding of Actinic and the launch of my startup Powered Now.
Benjamin Dyer's Experience
Co-Founder
Powered Now
May 2011 – Present (2 years 1 month) United Kingdom
Our company Powered Now is a software and services company aimed at solving the difficult task of business administration for field based companies.
For plumbers, electricians, gardeners and other field based businesses, administration can be a time consuming and irritating problem. The solutions available today just don't translate for businesses that operate away from an office, the landscape is cluttered with PC and cloud based applications that are reliant on connectivity or a dedicated administrator. These systems tend to focus on accounting and are often heavyweight applications built for one person - the accountant, not the business owner.
We can help businesses to manage jobs, quotes, invoices and payments using mobile devices that leverage the power of the cloud without being reliant on it. Our goal is to put the power of a fully serviced office in the hands of our customers, all via a mobile device, we can even send letters through the post at the click of a button – no stamp required.
