Argyrios Tzakas

Argyrios works in the Financial Services industry where he combines his knowledge of the financial markets with strong computational and technical skills. He brings a thorough understanding of the financial markets and instruments and is keeping up to date with current affairs and economic issues. He is a Greek and English speaker and has good knowledge of German.

Through roles as business and data analyst at major investment and corporate banks Argyrios gained a thorough understanding of the market structure, data, technology and participants, as well as the financial instruments, risks and the trade lifecycle. Argyrios has a good knowledge of the OTC derivatives and the current regulatory demands and challenges.

Before joining the Financial Services Argyrios spent 2 years working in the industrial automation industry. He has worked as a projects engineer for a major supplier of systems, software, solutions and instruments for process automation and turnkey integration services.

Having worked in close collaboration with his Project Managers, Argyrios has also gained considerable experience in liaising with customers to define project scope, providing customer support functions, as well as ensuring the completion of the project life-cycle activities on-time and within budget.

Holding professional memberships with the British Computing Society (BCS) and the Institute of Electrical and Electronic Engineers (IEEE), his tenacious approach to learning and development has also resulted in him making it to the eastern European countries round at Microsoft's Imagine Cup 2006 programming competition where he played a major role in the design and implementation of an innovative electronic nose device.
