Anthony Browne’s Summary

I have worked in Marketing since I came back from a year travelling the world in 2000. Firstly at a business startup which was a huge learning curve but unbelievably rewarding and useful ever since. I then returned to the book industry, which I had worked in while at university, as an Events Manager for Ottakar's. I progressed to Scottish Marketing Manager and then when Ottakar's was merged with Waterstone's I became Scottish and Irish Marketing Manager. I'm currently working in the public sector in the marketing dept. of East Renfrewshire Council. Looking at building platforms for internal communication and introducing social media elements to improve work flow and efficiency.

I love digital marketing, social networking and all the exciting technology that surrounds it. It is such a dynamic field with new elements introduced daily. I try to keep up to date with the explosion of ways to communicate and look forward to the next area to discover just around the corner.

I love to travel and meet people and professionally my ideal job is one that challenges and excites me on a daily basis.
